Easy lovely purpley plums to enjoy and share with others. Make a nice caramel and color the plums on it, then you allow them to steep in sweetened balsamic vinegar reduction and spiced up with a cinnamon stick. The plums retain their intense flavor, and the vinegar is both spicy and just sweet enough.
Ingredients: (1 serving)
1 fresh plum
⅓ cup brown sugar
⅓ cup of balsamic vinegar
- Rinse and cut the plum in half, remove the stone
- In a pan add the brown sugar and let it become a caramel
- add the plum into the pan, heart side over the caramel, color them and déglace with the balsamic vinegar
- Serve in a beautiful plate and garnish with the syrup.
